FLÈCHE ALLEMAGNE
Audax Randonneurs Allemagne ARA organizes 2005 the first time a Flêche Nationale in order to offer randonneurs the possibility to experience this extraordinary 24-hour trial in a team with 3 - 5 randonneur friends and to encounter all the other randonneurs at the finish in a large social gathering. The Flêche Allemagne is carried out on the rules of the FlêcheVèlocio and is controlled, acknowledged and authenticated by the Audax Club Parisien (A C P). The Flêche Allemagne is part of the Randonneur 5000 series.

TEAM TRIAL
A team consists of at least 3 at most 5 bicycles. Tandems and recumbent are permitted. The minimum age of the participants is 18 years at the day of the start. For the evaluation, at least 3 bicycles must reach the finish in the given time.
TRAIL OF 24 HOURS
At least 360 km must be gone. The Flêche Allemagne take place at Ascension Day. Start time is May 5, 2005 at 9.00 o'clock. Destination for all teams is the historic Wartburg in Eisenach in the state Thuringia on May 6 at 9.00 o'clock. Start place and route progress is selected freely by each team and reviewed by the ARA responsible. He will also lay down the control points. The distance between the controls is calculated as the shortest way using the Generalkarte. There is a special honour for the team, which does the largest distance
HONOUR
Each randonneur receives a diploma. The team, which has done the longest distance, will be honoured especially. Audax Club Parisien (ACP) authenticates the Flêche Allemagne.
EQUIPMENT
Each bicycle must have a firmly functioning and the road traffic regulations corresponding illumination. Each randonneur must wear a reflective vest during the night or reflective wrist straps. Helmets are mandatory.
ADDITIONAL RULES
The Flêche is NO race. Each participant is on a personal excursion.
Accompanying vehicles on the route are not permitted. The meeting with an accompanying vehicle at the determined control points is permitted once at the day and once during the night however not desired
Each stop may not exceed 2 hours. Each team is independent and may not go with other teams
During the last two hours a distance of at least 25 km must be gone. Therefore a checkpoint must be found after 22 hours, which must be at least 25 km away from the finish line. The team, who arrives earlier, must wait until 7.00 o'clock, and let the control stamp / signature and date register then.
Inspectors can be along the route. Each disregard of the rules leads to the exclusion of the evaluation. Each change in the team must be announced to the ARA responsible before the start.

FORMALITIES OF THE REGISTRATION
Registration first as of January 2006 until at the latest April10, 2006. In Germany, the regional ARA organizers get teams together, that report it then to the ARA responsible. Teams of other countries address themselves directly to the ARA responsible.
A detailed route sheet with statement of the partial and total kilometers and a map with the marked route have to be sending to the ARA responsible. This way must be kept then unconditionally. After verification of the statement based on the Generalkarte and establishment of the control points, the ARA responsible returns the documents to the team captain, jointly with the official entry form.
After remittance of the filled out entry form and transfer of the participation fee, the ARA responsible will send a short confirmation of ARA to the team captain and two weeks before Ascension Day then the control cards and frame signs. Each randonneur must carry along his control card during the Flêche and let fill out at the given places. The frame sign must be secured to the bicycle.
ARA reserves his right to change this regulation at any time.
